The poblano is a mild chilli pepper (more of a capsicum) originating in Puebla, Mexico. Stuffed fresh and roasted, it is popular in chiles rellenos poblanos. While poblanos tend to have a mild flavour, occasionally and unpredictably they can have significant heat.
